At VegaShare, accessible from vegashare.onrender.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by VegaShare and how we use it.

1. Data Minimization & Collection

VegaShare follows the principle of Data Minimization. We do not require account registration, and we do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

• Log Files: Like most websites, we use log files which include IP addresses, browser type, and time stamps. This data is used solely for security and fraud prevention (e.g., preventing DDoS attacks) and is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
• User Content: Any text or file uploaded is stored in secure, temporary storage for the sole purpose of sharing.

2. Data Retention & Auto-Deletion

All data uploaded (files or text) is subject to Mandatory Auto-Deletion. Our system is designed to permanently erase all data exactly 30 minutes after upload. Once erased, this data is unrecoverable by both the user and VegaShare administrators.

3. Cookies

VegaShare does not use tracking cookies or persistent identifiers to profile users. We may use strictly necessary session identifiers to facilitate the file-sharing process, which are cleared when your session ends.

4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance (Your Rights)

Users in the UK, European Union (GDPR), and USA (CCPA/CPRA) have specific rights regarding their data:

• The Right to Erasure: Since we automatically delete all data every 30 minutes, we fulfill this right by default.
• The Right to Access: You may request a summary of the data we hold (which is typically none, given our 30-minute wipe cycle).
• Data Protection: We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third-party advertisers.

5. Children's Privacy

VegaShare does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not require registration, we do not store profiles of any users, including children.
